I duplicated yesterday’s Upper Snag Park run with a helmet cam to compare to the one-hand shoot.  Amazing that in 24 hours my track was still the only visible one in this section of Snag Park.  The tree run had more tracks but this is a great 10 turn spot when you need some fresh snow although takes a little more effort to get there.  The video below is the route from top Northwoods(11) and top of Mountain Top Express(4).  I also added a picture indicating the start of this run which is where many of yesterday’s pictures were taken.

The snow making capabilities of VR are so goo that there is no way these are the worst conditions in the past 25 years (yesterday’s chairlift conversation).  Take a look at the terrain park pictures above, the majority of this snow is man made and it is incredible.  I think the conditions are good right now especially with the limited amount of natural snowfall the past few weeks.  Great job Vail Resorts!

Val Gardena DH cancelled due to string winds.  Cancelled the race just before Bode Miller start.
